STEM College and Career Fair - Boston

Representatives from over 200 colleges, as well as STEM industry professionals, will participate in the STEM College and Career Fair on Sunday, October 27 at Northeastern University from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This event is free to high school students and parents.

The STEM College and Career Fair, sponsored by the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), is an opportunity for students and parents to gather information from colleges and businesses about careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

College admissions representatives will be on hand to answer key questions regarding acceptance policies, specific courses in STEM related subjects and what students can do to improve their chances of finding success as a STEM student. Industry professionals will be available to explain various job and career paths for students studying specific courses in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

In addition to asking questions, students and parents will be able to set up college interviews, pick up literature and learn about the various financial aid programs available. A Workshop on Funding Your STEM Education will be available as well as Panel discussions with STEM Professionals. Find out what it is really like to study STEM in college and hear about different career paths you can take.

The STEM College and Career Fair is a first step in helping students discover if a career in a STEM related field is the right path for them.

Students will find many helpful articles, useful hints and items of information in this issue of STEM College Fair Guide. Students should review the list of participating colleges and make a note of the schools they would like to visit. Researching these colleges before the Fair will give students an advantage. The more prepared students are for the STEM College and Career Fair, the more they will get out of it.
