Since 1931, Berkeley College has specialized in preparing students for professional and personal success. The College is comprised of the Larry L. Luing School of Business®, the School of Professional Studies, the School of Health Studies, the School of Graduate Studies, and the School of Liberal Arts. Proven, career-focused programs are offered in a diverse range of areas, and lead to Bachelor’s degrees, Associate’s degrees, Certificates, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management.
Today, more than 7,000 students study at campuses in New York and New Jersey, as well as Berkeley College Online®. Of those, more than 350 are international students representing over 50 countries. The ethnically diverse student body is also made up of students of all ages. Approximately half of Berkeley students are over the age of 25.
Berkeley’s facilities are strategically located to provide access to all that the New York/New Jersey metro area has to offer. New York campuses are in the heart of New York City, Brooklyn, and the business district of White Plains. New Jersey campuses are in Newark, Paramus, Woodbridge, and Woodland Park. Many students combine on-site and online classes for flexibility that makes it possible to balance an education with family and professional commitments.

For the sixth consecutive year, Berkeley College has been ranked among the Best Colleges for Online Bachelor’s Degree Programs and the Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans by U.S. News & World Report.
Combining intense classroom instruction with practical hands-on learning, programs at Berkeley are carefully developed and regularly updated with input from advisory boards made up of industry experts to ensure marketplace relevancy. Instructors are chosen for excellent academic credentials, professional experience in the subjects they teach, and a dedication to delivering close, personal attention to students.
In addition, most of the College’s programs of study offer specific Career Pathways, which recommend program-related, liberal arts, and free elective courses that complement the courses within the program curriculum. These courses help develop the exact career skills that employers look for when hiring graduates or promoting employees.
Along with constantly adapting to meet the demands of the current professional world, Berkeley also works to make a quality education affordable. During the most recent 2017-2018 award year, more than $45 million in Berkeley College grants and scholarships was provided to qualified students — in addition to federal and state financial aid.
Comprehensive support services and resources also help set Berkeley College apart. On-site and online students have access to tutoring and workshops through the Center for Academic Success, as well as academic advisement, counseling services, and much more. Special services are available to military and veteran students, including on-site and online Veteran Resource Centers.
Berkeley offers many ways to help students fit an education into their busy schedules, including an optional seven-week online course structure in its Business Administration-Management and General Business degree programs. The format allows students to focus on fewer courses at any given time while still completing the same course load as in a traditional 15-week semester. Through the BBA to MBA Combined Degree Option, qualified students have the option to complete a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management within four years.
All programs at Berkeley require faculty-monitored internships, practicums, or job-related assignments as part of the curriculum, allowing students to apply what they’ve learned in real-world situations and giving them valuable experience for beginning a career. A dedicated Career Service department identifies and prepares students for job opportunities and offers career assistance for graduates.
A wide range of extracurricular activities complement the learning experience at Berkeley. Students may participate in a variety of sports, along with academic, social, and service-oriented clubs and organizations. Field trips and events are also scheduled regularly. Through BerkeleyCares, students have opportunities for community service.
