Caldwell Launches Esports Team and Men’s Lacrosse


Cougar spirit is at an all-time high as Caldwell University welcomed their largest freshman class to campus last fall. Adding to the buzz is the announcement of new Esports team and Men’s Lacrosse for fall 2019.

Ranked 25th “Best Value College” of regional universities in the north by U.S. News & World Report, students and parents are recognizing the value of a Caldwell University education. Quality Academic Programs and Financial Aid

Caldwell University offers 30 undergraduate majors and 30 graduate and doctoral programs including nationally accredited programs in business, counseling, nursing, art therapy, education and applied behavior analysis.

Caldwell has made a strong commitment to the health professions with degrees in nursing, health science, public health education, and healthcare administration. In fact, 2018 B.S.N. graduates boast a 100 percent pass rate for the NCLEX boards. Caldwell also offers partner programs with an extensive list of other universities. Student Life

Caldwell has enhanced all aspects of student life with the latest campus improvements. Also focused on student care, is a CARES Center which offers an efficient one-stop for student needs, as well as a Wellness Center for the mind, body and spirit. The Learning Commons offers students a technology-oriented collaboration center with state-of-the-art features. A campus-wide technology transformation is in full force with 3-D printing, engaging 360-videos, technology-infused learning environments, as well as a vastly improved Wi-Fi footprint.

With small class sizes and a 12:1 student–faculty ratio, the campus is truly a close community of caring faculty, staff and students. Service to the surrounding community, the United States and around the world is at the heart of the Caldwell experience. Campus Ministry projects provide an array of volunteer experiences and spring break missions for students.

The heartbeat of campus includes more than 30 clubs, organizations, sororities and fraternities. Almost 55 percent of freshmen live at three residence halls that have single, double and quad rooms. Dominican Hall offers apartment-style modern suites with kitchens.

Caldwell University offers a new café and dining hall which offer all you can eat gourmet dining and convenience for residents and commuters alike. Barnes & Noble, the official campus store, is well stocked with campus apparel, bestsellers and textbooks. The on-campus fitness center gives students a chance to take a healthy break from studying.

On the athletic front, Caldwell has announced that Men’s Lacrosse will join their line up in 2019/20. That will bring athletic programs to 15 NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports which include men’s baseball, basketball, soccer, cross country, lacrosse, track and field as well as women’s basketball, lacrosse, cross country, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, volleyball and bowling, plus, Sprint Football. The athletic department also sponsors a variety of recreational sports.
