Located along the Ohio River in southeastern Ohio, the College provides a small-town, small-campus location with easy access to big city amenities: Columbus, Cleveland and Pittsburgh are each a 2-to-3 hour drive from the center of campus.

Its beautiful tree-lined, walkable campus is nestled in the heart of an historic river town, but don’t mistake historic for boring. There is plenty to do, both on and off campus, from one of the best festivals in the state — the Ohio Sternwheel Festival just a few blocks from campus--to Marietta’s own 50-year plus campus tradition of celebrating spring on Doo Dah Day! Campus life includes a broad spectrum of activities, concerts, music and theatre productions, sports competitions, planetarium shows and events that invite the entire town to campus. Annual events like the student-led multicultural festival, softball and baseball community days, and the Energy Expo allow students to gain professional experience while providing value to the community. Students are welcomed into the surrounding community, as well. They serve on nonprofit organization boards, volunteer for local events, intern with businesses, and participate in local traditions.

The College invests in you, because it knows the return is worth it: confident graduates, thriving careers, and futures full of possibility. About 91 percent of Marietta College’s first-year students receive financial aid. Available awards are generous, up to full-tuition scholarships. The average financial aid award for its students is $38,000.In addition, the Marietta Promise Award can help Pell-eligible students earn a degree without debt.
