CBT offers eight undergraduate majors, 15 minors and three graduate degree programs across three departments: • Accounting, Business Law and Finance • Marketing and Management • Computer Science Accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International, CBT holds a distinction earned by less than 6 percent of business schools worldwide. Goodwin College of Education (GCOE) As one of Chicago’s oldest and largest education colleges, the Daniel L. Goodwin College of Education has been shaping culturally responsive educators since NEIU’s founding in 1867. The College offers nine undergraduate, 19 graduate and multiple certificate and endorsement programs — including a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) in Leadership, Equity and Inquiry, NEIU’s first doctoral program, which is scheduled to launch in Fall 2026. Upcoming Program: • M.S. in Nursing, Entry into Practice – Includes Mental Health and Geriatrics concentrations; features immersive simulation training at El Centro. Accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), GCOE integrates classroom theory with field-based practice. Students benefit from real-world learning through partnerships with schools, clinics and community organizations, working alongside nationally recognized faculty. With a focus on equity, innovation and impact, GCOE prepares graduates to lead in education, counseling, policy and beyond. College of Graduate Studies and Research NEIU’s College of Graduate Studies and Research offers over 50 master’s degree and post-baccalaureate programs in business, education, the liberal and fine arts and the sciences. Designed for working professionals, programs feature evening and weekend options to accommodate students’ lives and goals. The college is home to a vibrant research culture and is committed to supporting student inquiry, innovation and interdisciplinary exploration across disciplines. Nontraditional Degree Programs NEIU is a national leader in creating accessible, flexible pathways for adult learners and returning students. Through two regionally accredited undergraduate degree completion programs, nontraditional students — whether working professionals, veterans, caregivers or career changers — can design an academic path that honors their lived experience and future goals. • The Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (BAIS) is a self-paced, credit-based program designed for students balancing education with work and family. • The University Without Walls (UWW) program allows students to co-create a personalized curriculum that blends experiential learning with academic rigor, resulting in a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
