NACAC Virtual College Fairs
Virtual College Fairs are an online event where students and college representatives connect digitally to provide and gather information. Attendees can explore virtual booths, attend webinars, and chat with admissions officers in a format similar to an in-person fair but accessible from home. These fairs use technology to overcome geographic barriers, making a wide range of colleges accessible to students.
1) Meet College Representatives
Representatives from each college are excited to meet you! Be prepared to make a great impression and start meaningful conversations when you visit their booths. Not sure how to break the ice? Try asking questions like:
-
What do students enjoy most—and least—about your school?
-
What type of student tends to thrive at your college?
-
What’s the average student loan debt for graduates?
-
If I earn a grant or scholarship, will it likely remain the same all four years?
2) Use Your College Matchmaking® Results
Don’t forget to check your College Matchmaking® email to find the schools that best fit your interests!
When you registered, you selected what matters most to you in a college. You then received an email with schools that align with your preferences. Bring that list with you to the fair so you can connect directly with your top matches.
3) Don’t Stress—Enjoy the Experience!
Everyone’s at a different point in their college search, so keep an open mind and have fun. These fairs are designed to help you explore many schools quickly and find your best fit. Start a quick video chat with a rep, join a virtual presentation, or send a question in the chat—connect in the way that works best for you!
