Representatives from more than 200 colleges and universities will participate in the Bergen County College Fair which will be held at Ramapo College’s Bill Bradley Center in Mahwah, NJ on Wednesday, March 20. The College Fair is sponsored by the Bergen County Directors of Guidance in association with Ramapo College.
This free event is open to all area students and parents. Representatives from four-year colleges, two-year colleges, technical and business schools will be on hand to answer questions and offer information. High school students are encouraged to register in advance at www.StriveFair.com but can attend without a reservation.
The College Fair is a timesaving opportunity for students and parents to gather a lot of information at one time. In addition to asking questions, students and parents will be able to set up college interviews, pick up literature and learn about the various financial aid programs available.
Before you arrive at the College Fair, check the list of participating colleges and schools found below and select the ones that most interest you. If you have time, research these colleges by reading information in your counseling office or by checking out guidebooks or websites. Write up a short list of questions to ask admission representatives. To compare several schools, plan on asking the same questions at each table.
Read through this issue of College Fair Guide. There are many articles, charts, useful hints, and items of information which will be helpful to you. The more prepared you are for the College Fair, the more you’ll get out of it.
