The Center for Student Success offers support in all aspects of college life, starting with orientation and registration. A First-Year seminar is designed to help students navigate the college experience. Peer tutoring will give you academic support from students who have been in your shoes. The John Bahr Writing Center offers professional writers to help you hone your communications skills and tackle tough assignments. Vocational Planning lets you explore career opportunities, build a strong résumé, and land a great internship that will set you up for a successful career. Counselors from Concordia’s Wellness Center and a campus pastor are always available to support students who may struggle. Students and Faculty Concordia’s students come from 34 states and 31 countries worldwide. More than 75 percent of faculty hold the highest degrees in their field of study. The student-to-professor ratio is 13:1 with an average class size of 16 students. You’ll see 1-to-1 interactions between faculty and students throughout campus, in the dining halls, or the Campus Center. Student Experience Approximately 60 percent of students live on campus, forming an active, closely-knit community involved in all aspects of college life, student organizations, athletics, community outreach, and performance ensembles. The Student Experience Office sponsors activities to promote participation and fellowship and student-led clubs and organizations also host great events throughout the year. Athletics The Concordia Clippers are members of NCAA Division II and compete in men’s baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, and tennis; and women’s basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball. Location A smart, fun, and safe place to attend college, Concordia’s beautiful campus is set in southern Westchester County and within walking distance to Bronxville, Tuckahoe, and Eastchester’s many shops and cafes. Being just a 25-minute train ride to New York City is a big advantage for students. A free bus shuttle service takes you into the heart of Manhattan where you can experience museums, broadway shows, good food, and shopping. Campus Visits Campus tours are offered at 11am, 1pm, and 2pm (Monday–Friday).
