One World-Class Institution; Two Unique Campuses SUNY Poly’s two main academic and research-focused campuses in Albany and Utica, N.Y., boast more than 3,000 students. SUNY Poly is comprised of five colleges: College of Arts + Sciences; College of Health Sciences; College of Business; College of Engineering; and College of Nanoscale Science + Engineering. Utica Campus Located on hundreds of wooded and landscaped acres, SUNY Poly’s Utica campus is a beautiful living and learning environment. Students on the Utica campus can major in business, computer science, engineering, health sciences, and the arts and sciences. First-year students live in Oriskany Residence Hall, one of four residential complexes, and enjoy an expanding array of facilities that include a student center and field house. Life on campus is enriched by a wide variety of events and activities, including the Wildcats’ championship-winning intercollegiate athletics program and a weekly menu of intramurals, concerts, comedians, and more. Students can join one of the dozens of clubs and organizations or start one with a group of friends who share an interest. Albany Campus SUNY Poly’s Albany campus, located in New York’s capital city, offers degrees in the emerging disciplines of nanoengineering and nanoscience, as well as cutting-edge nanobioscience programs. Classrooms and labs are located within the Albany NanoTech Complex, a global educational, research, development and prototyping facility. With world-class resources at their fingertips, SUNY Poly students go beyond theory and textbooks to work alongside industry leaders on next-generation technologies using the University’s tools and facilities. Hands-On Engineering Experience The Center for Global Advanced Manufacturing (CGAM) on the Utica campus offers students the opportunity to engage with various manufacturing processes. CGAM is made up of a variety of dedicated labs that include cutting-edge technologies such as, advanced 3D printing, robotics, machine tools, nanotechnology, and digital prototyping. Unparalleled Industry Connections SUNY Poly is at the forefront of nanotechnology research. Students at the Albany campus learn from world-class faculty and work side-by-side with industry-leading companies, such as IBM, Tokyo Electron, and Applied Materials at the state-of-the-art Albany NanoTech Complex, which can lead to internship and career opportunities. Students on the Utica campus also have opportunities to work with and learn from the University’s partners, including Cree and the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL). Vibrant Student Life The institution boasts a 13:1 student to faculty ratio, with an average class size of 18. Primarily at SUNY Poly’s Utica campus, 700+ residential students attend the institution, which hosts more than 40 student clubs and organizations, NCAA Division III athletics, 12 intramural sports, and a rich residential life program on its beautiful, modern, and vibrant campus. NCAA Athletics SUNY Poly is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III and the North Atlantic Conference (NAC). The current roster of SUNY Poly varsity sports includes baseball, softball, mixed golf and men’s and women’s basketball, cross country, lacrosse, soccer, and volleyball. SUNY Poly's athletic nickname is the Wildcats. The SUNY Poly Wildcats have achieved many recent successes, including participation in the NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Tournament and Men’s Soccer Tournament. SUNY Poly Wildcats are not only successful in their sports, but also in the classroom often being named to the NAC All-Academic teams.
