Stevens Institute of Technology: Where Innovation Meets Opportunity

As an innovation-driven university, Stevens Institute of Technology looks for students who are motivated by ingenuity and inventiveness — exactly the qualities that will thrive in an AI-transformed world. Stevens students have a tremendous range of interests and a desire to pursue unique paths. They’re engineers who are musicians, artists who are programmers and financial whizzes who are literary buffs. This interdisciplinary thinking and creative problem-solving approach positions them to innovate alongside AI rather than compete with it.

Minutes from New York City — and all its promise and opportunity — Stevens delivers exceptional outcomes every day, from internships and co-ops to that first real job.

A Personalized, High-Impact Education

Stevens’ revolutionary SUCCESS core curriculum ensures every undergraduate develops the essential skills that will thrive alongside AI: creativity, innovation, entrepreneurial thinking and technological fluency.

Through the university’s Frontiers of Technology courses, students engage directly with AI and machine learning, data science, biotechnology and emerging technologies — not as passive users, but as informed innovators who understand both the potential and implications of these tools. Combined with an emphasis on leadership, ethics and entrepreneurship, Stevens graduates emerge as the kind of adaptable, creative problem-solvers who don’t just survive technological disruption — they drive it.

Each of Stevens’ 30+ undergraduate majors is infused with technology, whether in the Charles V. Schaefer, Jr. School of Engineering and Science, the School of Business or the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences. Collaborative, project-based learning helps students build critical management skills, as well as in-demand expertise and a powerful network to achieve their goals.

Popular majors include computer science, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, quantitative finance, music and technology and, new for Fall 2026, artificial intelligence.

Admissions and Affordability

Stevens is test-optional for most undergraduate applicants, allowing students to decide whether to submit SAT or ACT scores.
