Marywood University continues to grow with purpose — expanding programs, investing in facilities and technology, and strengthening experiential learning.
At Marywood, students find more than a degree. They find experience, opportunity, community, and support — from day one.
More Experience
At Marywood, you don’t wait until junior year to begin your major. You find hands-on experience from your very first semester — and every semester after that. In labs, studios, clinical spaces, and creative environments, students learn by doing, not just listening.
This day-one approach means graduating with real skills and confidence. Programs are continuously evolving to align with changing career paths, emerging industries, and advancing technology, keeping learning practical, relevant, and future-focused.
More Opportunity
Marywood offers more than 80 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs across architecture, aviation, health sciences, education, business, communication, arts, and sciences. Students benefit from the resources and experiences of much larger universities paired with the personal attention that makes those opportunities accessible.
With an 11:1 student-to-faculty ratio, professors know students by name and are invested in their success. Faculty members serve as instructors, mentors, and advisors, offering individualized guidance that supports academic growth and career exploration.
More Standout Programs
Marywood offers career-driven programs designed to prepare students for professional success.
Architecture students engage in immersive, studio-based learning focused on creativity, sustainability, collaboration, and problem-solving. Graduates leave with strong portfolios and preparation for professional practice and licensure.
Aviation programs offer professional flight training and aviation management pathways through the most trusted aviation programs on the East Coast, combining rigorous technical instruction with extensive hands-on experience in a high-demand, growing industry.
Health Sciences are a cornerstone of Marywood’s academic excellence. The Nursing program has achieved a 100 percent NCLEX licensure pass rate. The Physician Assistant program has maintained a 100 percent overall national certification pass rate for five consecutive years, with a recent class earning a 98 percent first-time pass rate.
Across disciplines, students complete internships, clinical placements, research projects, and faculty-mentored experiences that connect learning to real-world expectations.
Find Your People. Find Your Path.
Marywood is a tight-knit, inclusive community where students are encouraged to be themselves, find their people, and create their own path.
With more than 50 clubs and organizations, students can explore leadership, service, creativity, culture, and special interests. The Office of Student Engagement has earned national recognition, receiving Best Programming & Events honors from the National Association of Campus Activities.
More Campus Life
Athletics are an important part of the Marywood experience. The University sponsors 22 NCAA Division III sports plus Women's Flag Football and Esports (co-ed), with Pacer programs earning conference championships in sports such as field hockey and cross country. Student-athletes thrive in a culture that values balance, teamwork, and discipline.
Campus life extends well beyond athletics, with year-round events, performances, service opportunities, and traditions that bring the community together.
More Than a Campus
Located in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Marywood’s arboretum-style campus offers a classic college setting that shines in all four seasons. From crisp fall days to snowy winters, vibrant springs, and warm summers, the campus is designed to be lived in year-round.
Marywood continues to invest in its campus with new facilities, updated learning spaces, and state-of-the-art technology, ensuring access to modern labs, studios, residence halls, and performance spaces.
More Career Readiness
Career readiness is built into the Marywood experience. Students gain hands-on experience through internships, clinical placements, research projects, and service-learning opportunities.
As a result, approximately 95 percent of Marywood graduates are employed or enrolled in graduate or professional programs within six months of graduation. Alumni work in healthcare systems, architectural firms, schools, aviation organizations, nonprofits, government agencies, and private companies.
More Support
