See Hilbert College, See Different…

Hilbert College appreciates and understands what it means to be different. From its Franciscan heritage and liberal learning curriculum to its small class sizes and welcoming community, Hilbert is focused on one thing: student success.

Located just 15 minutes south of downtown Buffalo and minutes from the Village of Hamburg, Hilbert’s welcoming campus is recognized as one of the safest and most picturesque in WNY.

See Different Passions

Hilbert College offers a variety of programs from liberal arts to professional studies, including 19 career-focused programs and over 40 minors and concentrations to drive your passion.

Hilbert recently expanded its opportunity programs with HEOP and Say Yes to Education, which makes the value of a Hilbert education accessible for more students.

Hilbert is nationally recognized for its criminal justice and forensic science programs as well as emerging majors in cybersecurity, psychology, business, paralegal studies, sports industry, and more.

See Different Outcomes

The value of a Hilbert College education starts with its focus on student success, both in the classroom and after graduation. Hilbert knows what is most important to you — your future!

More than 90 percent of the Class of 2018 were employed or continuing their education within six months of graduation. Many of the graduates were not only employed, but found employment related to their major. As one of the most affordable private colleges in New York, combined with a job placement rate above 90 percent — that is some serious return on investment.

Hilbert’s NCAA Division III athletics program emphasizes a well-rounded student experience. Student-athletes will graduate with the skills to be affluent leaders, humble winners, and responsible professionals. The Department of Athletics strives to provide physical, social, and intellectual growth. 14 student-athletes earned 4.0 for the fall 2019 semester.

See Different Perspectives

Over the last several years, Hilbert College has crafted a plan promoting a four-year college experience that will bolster student involvement and leadership potential — The Hilbert Blueprint. The Hilbert Blueprint promotes a well-rounded student experience over four years. The Blueprint begins with the Foundations Seminar — a key piece to the First-Year Experience, followed by Sophomore Service, Junior Symposium, and concludes with the Senior Capstone.

See Different Values

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Intelligence plus character — that is the goal of true education.”

Hilbert College embraces the traditions of St. Francis: respect, service, hope, vision, joy, integrity, compassion, and peace.

Hilbert hosts two campus-wide service days — the Day of Service in the fall semester, and Unity with our Community in the spring. Both are days where students, faculty, staff, and alumni come together and volunteer at various community organizations in and around the City of Buffalo. Unity with our Community is a service day devoted to carrying on the work and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in our community. Last fall, before the Hilbert community kicked off the Day of Service, Erie County Legislator Lynne Dixon presented Hilbert College with a special proclamation recognizing the College’s 60 years in the Hamburg community. During the last academic year, Hilbert students participated in over 5,800 hours of community service.

See Different Cultures

Hilbert College encourages and embraces the opportunities to expand your college involvement with experiential learning. Whether it is in its own backyard or around the globe, Hilbert offers programs for experiential and service learning. Hilbert students have frequent opportunities to study abroad or perform service learning projects in the Dominican Republic, Kenya, Italy, and more.
