Academic Excellence Neumann is known for its exceptional programs in Nursing and Health Sciences. A new, multi-million-dollar Health Sciences Center opened in January 2019 to accommodate classes in nursing, physical therapy, athletic training, strength and conditioning, exercise physiology, and other programs. In 2019, the University opened a Data Analytics Lab to support new majors in Cybersecurity and Data Science & Analytics. Students in the Communication and Digital Media major can use Neumann’s high-tech radio and television studios from their first semester on campus. Athletics Neumann has 24 NCAA Division III athletic teams that compete in the Atlantic East Conference and the Eastern College Athletic Conference. Softball and men’s soccer won conference championships in 2018–19, and 16 teams qualified for postseason play. At Neumann, sports are about more than a won-lost record, however. Working with the Institute for Sport, Spirituality and Character Development®, its teams complete community service projects, nights of reflection and leadership training.
