As an FLCC student, you’ll experience life in the Finger Lakes region, which is known for its beautiful natural surroundings, exquisite fall foliage, and Canandaigua Lake. FLCC’s main campus is about 45 minutes from Rochester and less than two hours from Buffalo and Syracuse. It’s far enough away to be on your own, and close enough to come home with laundry!

With more than 50 areas of study, you’re sure to find a program that fits your goals. The College’s academic offerings are varied — whether you’re looking to train for a particular career, or work toward a bachelor’s degree.
Choose from in-demand fields such as business, computing and IT, health care studies, kinesiology and human performance, hospitality and tourism, networking and cybersecurity, music recording technology, nursing, and viticulture and wine technology. If you’re feeling uncertain about your academic or career path, don’t worry. FLCC’s liberal arts and sciences programs offer a broad-based experience for you to explore.
In addition to helping you find your path, FLCC is committed to offering courses in convenient and flexible formats. Students are able to take classes online, in hybrid formats, and through specialized HyFlex technology that lets you choose how, when, and where you “attend” class. Plus, you can build your schedule to include courses at the main campus in Canandaigua or at a campus center in Geneva, Newark, or Victor.
Student Activities, Campus Life, and Athletics
With 16 men’s and women’s athletics teams, and more than 25 student clubs, FLCC students are passionate, motivated, and connected to the community. Join its thriving eSports team, become a master in fencing or audio engineering, or make a difference in student government or through the human services club. You’ll also hone your leadership skills and gain volunteer experience regardless if you commute from home or live just steps away.
Study-abroad opportunities allow you to step outside your comfort zone and gain a whole new perspective of the world. FLCC’s travel courses are open to all students, and your experience in these courses will complement any field of study or career goals.
FLCC’s athletic teams compete against colleges and universities throughout the northeast. As a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), student-athletes can count on dedicated coaches and knowledgeable athletic trainers to prepare for success on and off the field. FLCC’s intercollegiate sports include baseball/softball, basketball, cross country, eSports, lacrosse, logging sports, soccer, track and field, and volleyball.
State-of-the-Art Facilities and Resources
Depending on your area of study, you’ll learn in FLCC’s laboratories, music recording and editing studios, multi-media communications labs, the simulated nursing hospital station, the therapeutic massage lab, drafting rooms, the greenhouse and arboretum, fine arts studios, or fields and streams throughout the Finger Lakes region. Learning experiences are abundant at FLCC, allowing you to apply your classroom study to out-of-class opportunities.

Greater than 80 percent of FLCC students receive some for m of financial assistance, and with low in-state tuition, FLCC is an amazing value.
